Cat Rock Park in Weston is beautiful and the pond is usually filled
with labs and a few other miscellaneous breeds.

Here are a few of our favorite hiking trails:
Fish Hatchery, Bungay Lake, North Attleboro, MA (on leash,
please)
The Monastery, Cumberland, RI (off leash allowed, if you dare,
LOL)
Borderland State Park, Easton, MA (on leash, please, although
people do off leash there)

Adams Farm in Walpole on North Street between Rte 109 (Bubbling
Brook ice cream) and Rt1A (Norfolk Agricultural School). Lots of
trails both on and off the beaten path. Although, there's a sign
about leash laws, dogs are always off-leash. Not well known, so not
crowded. There's also a community garden there.

Wilson Mountain in Dedham is a great informal meet up place for
dogs and their owners. Once again leashes are recommended but most
dogs are off leash.

I am looking to find somewhere close by to walk my pooches. It
would be great if there was a swimming hole as well. I am desperate
to find a place. My 6 dogs really need to run and they love
swimming! I live in Chicopee, Mass., which is close to Springfield
in the Western part of the state. Because I have so many dogs and I
drive a Civic, I dont want to travel too far. If anyone could help
us, please email me. Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!

Gilbert Hills State Forest, Foxboro, MA. Lots of trails and several
water holes deep enough for swimming. On the weekends, I recommend
on leash because there are a lot of hikers, walkers, bikers, and
hunters. Off leash works well on weekdays.

We were recently impressed with Wilson Mountain Reservation in Dedham (not a
mountain more like an incline). Very pretty and crosses water at
several junctures.
There's also Rocky Woods in Medfield, but I believe you need a
dog pass. Also in Medfield, with a pond, is Noon Hill.
