BARRINGTON
Barrington Paw Park located behind the baseball fields on the western side of Haines Park. The dog park is open during regular park hours.

NEWPORT
Newport Dog Park
The City of Newport's off-leash park is located on Connell Highway at the base of the Pell Bridge (directly across the street from the Newport Playhouse). The park is free and open to the public from 6AM to 9PM. All dogs over 6 months of age must be licensed. For a map and driving directions from your location click here.

PROVIDENCE
Dexter Dog Park - in the west end of Providence at the Dexter Trainer Ground baseball field. Parade St.

PROVIDENCE
Gano St. Dog Park (NEW)

About 3/4 acre fenced in area. Double gated entry. Adjacent basketball courts are lit, so there is some light for night time use. No other amenities now, but we are working on raising money for shade, benches, dispensers, etc. Location: Gano Street, entry from Power Street or Fremont Street.

WARWICK
Warwick Dog Park
The fenced-in facility is 33,000 square feet and features a spacious grassy area, a shady tree-filled section and several fire hydrants for the city's four-legged residents. There is a small holding area adjacent to the main park gate, where residents can safely unleash and leash their dogs, as well as several benches and bleachers for pet owners to use while their pooches play.
Directions: Take a left on Asylum Avenue from Buttonwoods Avenue. Go to the end (residential area). You will see a big sign "Warwick City Park." Turn into the parking lot and take the main road down a while. Fenced in dog park is on the right.

LINCOLN
Chase Farm, Lincoln-
This place is amazing and beautiful. There seems to be pockets of times when some officials will hide and wait to ticket off leash dogs but I have yet to experience this.

PROVIDENCE
India Pt. Park
in the winter is great fun. Summertime is too packed with kids so the dog people keep their distance but when it cools down you can find many dogs when the sun sets.

Rodger Williams Park -
I hear about lots of people visiting this spot.

Veezy St. - Providence, RI
Don't know the official name but it has become quite a local dog spot...but this one comes with lots of controversy with neighbors, walkers and police. Not sure if this should be recommended but it does exists.

Wanskuck Park Dog Park -
Prov. RI Located on Woodward Road, between Branch Avenue and Mineral Spring Avenue Open 24 hours. Fenced, benches, handicap access, trees, trashcans. Comments= a nice dirt walking path and a large open grassy area. Leash laws may be enforced so use at your own discretion. Fencing in disrepair and area is next to the street so use caution.

RICHMOND, RI
A large fenced in open area that dogs can go off leash. There is a small bench to sit while the dogs play. It is located next to the Richmond dog pound, just up the hill.

Amado

·         Dog Chefs of America Kitchen and Dog Park. A dog friendly 50's style diner for dogs. Daily preparations of natural food for dogs, specializing in dog chef cooking classes. The Dog Chef Dog Park is across the parking lot. 1/2 acre fenced in area, water, wading pool, seating for humans, toys. Deli for humans next to Dog Chef Kitchen. The only privately owned public dog park available south of Tuson. Location: 30 miles south of Tucson off i-19. Exit 48, Arivaca Turnoff. Go left under the overpass. Avondale

• Avondale Friendship Park. Multi-use Community Park and Dog Park. Fully fenced and lighted for evening use. Has water faucets and trash receptacles. Location: 12325 W. McDowell Rd. Directions: Take McDowell Rd. Turn south into main entrance. Go right to west end of park. (Thank you Greg Bailey)

Chandler

·         Bark Park. Baggies and all sorts of doggie obstacle courses! Located near Alma School, Basha, & Ocotillo. Take side street "Mesquite" north and you will see large fenced in area for dogs.  (Thank you Autumn)

·         Chandler Bark Park. The dog park has a staging area and a large area for the dogs to roam. It also has an agility course, which is separate from the dog-roaming area. Gated Dog Park. Location: 1400 W. Mesquite St. Directions: Bark Park/Shawnee Park is located south of Elliot and north of Warner just off of Alma School. Head WEST on W. Mesquite St. from Alma School. The park is on the north side of the road. You can park on the road, near the dog park entrance OR you can park in the Shawnee Park parking lot on the east side of the park and walk across (to the west) the children's playground to the dog park. Flagstaff

·         Barkmaster Park. Located in Bushmaster Park.  1.5 acre, fenced, benches, tables, trees. 

·         Thorpe Bark Park. Tables, fenced, water, trash. Location: 600 N. Thorpe.

Fountain Hills

• Cosmo Dog Park. Leashed and leash-free dog park - 4 acres. Won Dog Fancy award for best dog park in U.S. Awesome park with lake for dogs to swim, K9 agility equipment, several leash free areas, dog washing areas, dog fountains. Location: 2502 E. Ray Road. (Northeast corner of Ray Road and Santan Loop 202). Directions: From the Santan Loop 202, exit at Higley, turn south to Ray Road, turn west on Ray follow until you see the entrance signs. • Crossroads Park. Very big area, separate areas for small & big dogs. Big complex with baseball fields. Glendale

• Northern Horizon Park. Large fenced-in play area, a play area for small dogs, water fountains and waste stations. Location: 63rd and Northern Avenues. (Thank you Brittany Brezinski)

·         Sahuaro Ranch Park. North & adjacent to Glendale Community College. Glendale is a western suburb of Phoenix. Water and toys are available. The dog park section may be accessed easiest by parking in the 63rd Ave Parking lot south of Peoria Ave and north of Olive Ave.  (Maricopa County)

• Foothills Dog Park. Glendale Park Department. Small park divided into two parks for large and small dogs. Grass area in middle. Surrounded by crushed decomposed granite. Obstacle course. Has water and dog shower. Seating available. Has poop scoopers and bags. Location: Next to parking lot for Foothills Library in Glendale, AZ. North of Union Hills on 57th Ave. Directions: Take Union Hills Drive to 57th Ave. Go north past baseball field and turn East into Foothills Library parking lot. Go to far corner of parking lot. Goodyear

• Good year Dog Park. 1 acre. 1 side for old one side for active. County Park nearby allows dogs on leash and has a Dog Hike every month. Location: Estrella Parkway near just before Gila River Bridge. Directions: I-10 south about 6 miles just before Gila River Bridge to right.

Kingman

• Kingman Dog Park. The "No Dog" signs apply to certain areas of the park, not the off-leash park inside of it. Location: Andy Devine Ave (Rte 66), inside Louis Kingman City Park. Directions: Exit I-40 west on Andy Devine Ave, park is approx 2 miles on the left. (Thank you Catherine Cornelius)

Lake Havasu City

• Quail Run Park. Nice large fenced area. A fenced area to separate the timid dogs. Water and bags are available for both sections. Payson

• Payson Off-Leash Park. Fenced small dog area. Tables, poop bags, trees water, tables, trashcans. Location: McLane Road. North of Longhorn and Longhorn. (Thank you Amy Guillory)

Phoenix

• EchoMountain Dog Park. For now there are 2 enclosed areas: 1 side for large dogs & 1 side for small/passive dogs. They are working on getting lites, seating, water & shade. There is a poop scooper & people have been trying to bring baggies to leave for people to use. There are not enough baggies currently. Location: Cave Creek Road & Grovers. • Rose Mofford dog park. Location: 25th Ave between Dunlap and Peoria. Directions: East of I 17 south of Peoria on 25th Ave. (Thank you Sheridan Rombough)
• Steele Park Dog Park. The dog park, which opened in June of 2006 is located in the fenced northeast corner of the park. The 1.83 acre, granite surface with small, rolling hills and dog-friendly shrubbery is enclosed by six-foot-high perimeter fencing and two double-gated ADA accessible entrances. The area offers both large and small dog sections, both of which provide "Mutt-Mitt" dispensers and trash receptacles. The small dog section is intended for those under 20 pounds. Pet owners can enjoy shade trees and picnic table seating, although food is not allowed in the off-leash area. The Dog Park is open during Park Operation Hours of 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Parking can be accessed off of 7th Street just north of the VA Hospital. Closure notices will be posted in advance due to large scale events throughout the year.  Community members are continuing to raise funds for additional dog park amenities such as shade structures, benches, water resources within the off-leash area, and lighting. • Washington Dog Park. A huge place for dogs with 10 feet high secure fences! Location: Maryland avenue and 21st at Washington park near Maryland Grade school and Washington High School! South of Glendale to "Maryland"....it is on the EAST side of "Washington park." (Thank you Terry and Pets)

Prescott

• Willow Creek Dog Park. Prescott, AZ  Location: Willow Creek Road & Commerce Drive. Directions: Intersection of Willow Creek Road and Commerce Drive (go south on Willow Creek from Hwy 89 approx 2.5 miles). Promoted by Prescott Area DogPark Society (PADS) (Thank you William Huth)

Scottsdale

• Dog Park. Small enclosed area for dogs. Grass (when not dirt) & baggies provided. Water access outside of enclosed area about a 2 minute walk. It's not very large & no separation for small dogs but fairly good. On 92 St (or it's called 100th St there too) & Frank Lloyd Wright. From Frank Lloyd Wright & 92nd St go North till u see parking lot on left side. There are 4 large baseball fields. It's in front of the first field (#1). (Thank you (Ms) Andy Schulgasser)
• Dog Park. 2 enclosed play areas. 1 for small/passive dogs, 1 for large dogs. Both have large grass areas with water, and some shade. Located at McDonald & Hayden on Southeast corner - enter on McDonald just east of Hayden. Take the 101 to McDonald & turn West to 82nd St lite & turn Left into Parking lot - it says to Off-Leash Area. Show Low

• Show Low Dog Park. This is a large wooded park with changes in terrain and a smaller adjoining area. Includes water and seating. Location: Intersection of Deuce of Clubs and westbound State Route 260, in the Show Low City Park. Directions: At the intersection of westbound State Route 260 and the Deuce of Clubs. Surprise

• Surprise Dog Park. Two parts, small and large dogs, Grass , with water fountains, waste bags, and picnic tables. Larger than most in the area. Location: off of Primrose Lane, behind Library and aquatic facility. Directions: From Bell road, turn South on Bullard road for about 1/2 mile to Primrose Ln, and turn Left on it (East). Take the second exit on the right into a gravel parking lot, and go further east to the end of the parking lot. (Thank you Bruce Cox)

Tempe

• Tempe Dog Park. Off-leash park, one pretty large area for both large and small dogs. No separate areas for large and small breeds. No grass as of now, however it is closed thursdays for the attempt to grow grass. Location: Southwest corner of College and Curry. Tucson

• Christopher Columbus Park. 4600 N. Silverbell, Tucson, AZ. off Silverbell Road south of Camino del Cerro. Fenced, water, and trees. 
• McDonald's Park. There are two different area for large dog and small dogs water provided and waste bags large area trees. Location: Harrison Rd. Directions: Take Tanque Verde east to Catalina Hwy. Go north to Harrison. Go apprx. 1-1/2 miles, on right. Sign posted on Catalina Hwy. Has fenced-in areas. One side for large dogs. The other side is for small dogs. (Thank you Vickie Dixon)
• North Sixth Avenue Park.  Large area with lots of grass. This half-acre dog park opened on June 20th, 2004. Features a ramada, benches, grass, trees, a dog-friendly drinking fountain, and scooper dispenser. There are no lights, however, and all dogs are confined to one area (no large/small dog sections). Alameda

• Alameda Small Dog Park. Water, area for small dogs (dogs under 30 pounds), and restrooms. Location: Located on Westline Drive in Alameda. The Park is next to the Tennis Courts. The view includes the Bay and Golden Gate Bridges, the city skyline, the Oakland Estuary, and facing the other direction you can see the Mormon Temple in the Oakland hills. • Washington Square Park. 5 acre area, fenced, water nearby, paid parking meters, restrooms. No water at the site, but a hose located 50' away to fill water jugs. Restrooms also 50' away. Berkeley

• Ceasar Chavez dog park. Dog Park within Ceasar Chavez park. Multi-acre off-leash area for dogs in the middle of the park. Location: University near Berkeley Marina. Directions: Take University Ave toward the bay. At the "t" in the road, make a right. Follow the street past the hotel on the left and around the corner. Park on the right. • Earl Warren Park. Two off leash dog runs. Amenities include picnic tables, barbecues, a play area, two parking lots, rest rooms, an open lawn area, and of course two fenced dog runs. Dublin

• Bray Commons. An enclosed quarter-acre run for small dogs under 20-pounds. There are often specific breed meetings held at this location, like daschund. Location: 3300 Finnian Way (Keegan Street at Maguire Way). Directions: Take 580 and exit at Tassajera.  Go North to Dublin Blvd and turn right.  Follow Dublin Blvd to Keegan and turn left.  Go two more blocks and the dog park will be on your left at the corner. • Dougherty Hills Dog Park. Separate areas for small and large dogs. There are no restroom facilities. Location: Stagecoach Road and Amador Valley Blvd. Directions: Take 580 to Hopyard/Doughtery Rd.  Head north.  Turn left on Amador Valley Blvd.  The dog park will be on your right hand side about 4-6 blocks. Fremont

• Coyote Hills Regional Park. Almost one thousand acres. Interstate 880, to (West) Decoto Rd. (Highway 84), North on Paseo Padre Parkway to (left) Patterson Ranch Road, to the entrance. 510-635-0135.
• Lake Elizabeth Dog Park. Off Stevenson Blvd at Lake Elizabeth, near softball camp side if the lake. Fun leash off, fenced in park for good mannered dogs only. At 6-8 pm you can see over 30 dogs running their tails off. Clean up after your dog bags available. Please also bring more to contribute. From north take 880 South, Stevenson Blvd Exit. Left onto Stevenson. Drive 2 miles. Pass Paseo Padre. Make right at Softball Camp into parking lot. Drive to back of parking lot. From Pleasanton/ San Ramon, take 680 South, Take Washington Blvd Exit. Becomes Fremont Blvd. Drive 1-1/2 miles to Stevenson. Go right. Then follow above directions.(Thank you Max Ware)

Hayward

Livermore

• Del Valle Regional Park. Interstate 580 to North Livermore Avernue, to South Livermore Avenue, to Tesla Rd, right on Mines Road, right on Del Valle Rd. 510-635-0135.
• Lake Del Valle.  Dog swimable shoreline trails and off-leash permitted! There is also a $1 dog fee. Location: 7000 Del Valle Road, Livermore, CA 94550. Directions: There is only one entrance to the park so you can use Mapquest  or Yahoo Maps to get full directions. Once entered the park, proceed to the main boat launch/concession area where the trail head start. Off-leash are only allowed beyond this gate. Enjoy! (Thank you Giang Tran)

• Joaquin Miller Dog Park. Two fenced off leash play areas. Two fenced areas, one for large dogs, one for small dogs. Richmond

• Point Isabel Regional Shoreline. Point Isabel: This is a great off-leash open area with paved and unpaved trails right along the bay.  Great for picnics too as there are some picnic benches. Location: 2701 Isabel Street. Directions: Central Avenue Exit off of Hwy 80 or 580 and head west all the way to the end of the street and continue past Costco). San Leandro

• Marina Park. Marina and Fairway. It is just south of the channel bridge as you go along the shoreline next to the golf course. Park at the south end of Marina Park and walk over the bridge and you will find it. (Thank you Karen Sakai)
• Dru Beaglemore
  Oyster Bay. Large off-leash area, limited grass (mostly brush, dirt and some rocky areas). 70 acre+ area, some picnic tables, limited water outlets and restrooms (please bring a water bottle on hot days). Adjacent to Oakland Airport. Lots of ground squirrels and trees. Perfect place for sniffy noses and very safe too! Potty bags available at entrance. Location: Neptune Dr. Directions: Take the Marina exit off of the 880, and go west towards the Marina. Make a right onto Doolittle and a left at Williams. Go to the end and make a right (my doggie brain thinks it is called Neptune Dr.). Follow to the end. The entrance is on the west side. Use a leash for the first 500 feet, them, let 'em roam!

San Lorenzo

• San Lorenzo Community Park. Fenced half-acre site on the west side of the 30-acre park. Located at 1970 Via Buena Vista. From 880 take Hesperian exit. Turn Right at Bokman St. Left at Via Carmen follow road around to the right and road will eventually dead end at the San Lorenzo Community park. (Thank you Diane Bonds)

Union City

Amador

Marin County Open Space

Bolinas

• Bolinas Beach. Wharf Road to the end at the foot of the bluff. 650-499-6387.
• RCA Beach. A virtually abandoned beach with white sand, driftwood and complete privacy and freedom. This location is a prize spot and is frequented by the occassional nudist. There may be two or three people there,...probably not. Take a right turn onto Mesa, at the stop sign under the gum trees, just before entering Bolinas. Follow the road about two miles, until you drive over a roller coaster hill. At the point whwere it takes a sharp right turn, park in the area inside the cattle grate and walk down the long drive. After the first building on your left, cut at 45 degrees to the left, over the slats in the fence and keep going diagonally to the dirt track....head for the sloping tree clump on the horizon to the left. There's a path there, or follow the trail/road along a bit firther for the 'horse' trail. (Thank you Reverend Mike Goldsun)

Mendocino

Fort Bragg

• Noyo Harbor Beach. Beach beside river mouth with sand, cobbles and lots of driftwood that became an off leash dog area just this year (2006). The beach is about a quarter of a mile long. It is both sandy and rocky. It had seaweed and driftwood in abundance when we visited. The local tourist office told us about it and it is posted for dogs. We saw people fishing from shore and strolling with children during our visit. There is ample parking. Location: Noyo Harbor entrance. Directions: From Highway 1, turn inland at the north end of the Noyo River bridge. The road will lead you down to the harbor and continues on to the beach which is your destination. Jackson State Forest

Ukiah

• Low Gap Park. In Low Gap Park itself the sign say dogs must be on a leash. However, when the tennis courts are empty they are a great place to throw tennis balls for those with Retrievers among us. Just leave the court when someone comes to play tennis and everyone is very pleasant and friendly about dogs on the courts! Turn west onto Low Gap Rd form State Stree. Inyo National Forest

June Lake

• Silver lake. 80 acre lake. Halfway between June Lake Loop. Exit 395 if you are coming from the North or exit Highway 158 from the South.

Mammouth Lakes

• Horseshoe Lake. One of the few undeveloped lakes in the area. Take the US 395 and exit Mammoth Junction, go West alon Highway 203 (Main street) which turns into Lake Mary Road, and continue for 7 miles. 619-924-5500.

Toiyabe National Forest

Lincoln

• Lincoln Dog Park. Description: 4 acre off leash fenced dog park. Park is open from Dawn - Dusk (closed from Dawn to 11AM every Wednesday for maintenance). Fenced dog park with parking, potable water, trash container, and waste bags. (will soon have a separate area for dogs less than 25 pounds). Location: Third Street & Santa Clara in the City of Lincoln. Directions: Hwy 65 to Moore Road in Lincoln (across from Safeway). Veer right and Moore Road turns into Joiner Parkway. • Bear Dog Park. 2 Acre dog park! This 2-acre dog park includes two separate areas to exercise dogs off-leash, one for large dogs and one for small dogs. • Marco Dog Park. The park is located on Sierra Gardens Drive, North of Douglas Blvd. Off of eastbound I-80 take the Douglas Blvd. East exit, and keep going east. At the third traffic light make a left on to Sierra Gardens Drive. The park is on the right, just as the road begins to curve to the left. It is in a big bowl, is completely fenced, and has water available, including a couple of wading pools. (The organization R- DOG (Roseville Dog Owners Group) helped to establish the park and they keep the park supplied with bags, and they are responsible for improvements.)

Howe Park

• The park is at Howe Avenue and Cottage Way. To get there, take the Capitol City Freeway East (used to be Business 80) from Sacramento. Take the El Camino exit and go East to Howe Avenue, where you will make a right and go south. After the school on the left, you will see the park. Make a left on Cottage Way, and enter the park at the first entrance on the left. The off-leash area of the park (it is fenced) is between the tennis courts and the baseball field. You can see the fenced-in area down the walkway with signs pertaining to this dog park. It is called Howe About Dogs Park. The organization responsible for this park is called SCOOP (Sacramento Canine Owners for Off-leash Parks).

• Alamo Square. 13 acre park in the heart of San Franisco - 1/2 of which is legally off-leash. One of the most photographed locations in San Francisco. Postcard views of the "Painted Ladies" Victorians. This park is always very windy so bring a pullover or coat. Usually lots of tourists taking pictures and groups of off-leash dogs having a great time! Location: Located between Hayes, Steiner, Fulton and Scott in San Francisco. The western side is off-leash. Directions: From San Francisco International Airport, take 101 South and exit at Holly Street/Redwood Shores Pkwy. Stay to the left in the fork and circle around up over the freeway. Stay on Redwood Shores Parkway for about 2.4 miles to Radio Road.   A good place for dogs to get a hearty run in. Poop bags and water provided. There does tend to be a lot of holes and one needs to check and make sure that gates at both ends of the park are closed before taking dog in. Location: In Back of Maywood School. Directions: From San Francisco take 280 south to the Westborough exit. Follow Westborough up hill until the 2nd stop light and turn left there. Follow that a good way into the Rollingwood area and turn left on Maywood. Follow Maywood until it dead-ends in the school parking lot. The is a water and bucket for the dogs to drink from. Clean up tools are provided. Directions: 101 to Hellyer, following signs toward Coyote River Park. Go straight through stop sign. Santa Cruz

Aptos

• Polo Grounds Dog Park.  Fenced, off-leash area, including partitioned small dog section. Open sunrise to sunset. There are benches and chairs. One parking lot and driveway serves an open space area (technically leash only), the off-leash park, the bicycle stunt course, and the first soccer field. There are almost always at least a couple of dogs here, more often several. At peak periods there can be more than 30 dogs. The atmosphere is social for humans, as well. Locals are encouraged to join the yahoo group AptosDogPark. The park floor is thick with wood chips and mulch, whatever garden refuse local landscapers and arborists dump by the truckload. The county also contributes large quantities, ever replenishing. This park has little shade in the summer midday and can get hot. Winters are quite wet and nippy. Nice park keeps getting better with each improvement. Biodegradable bag dispensers and garbage cans are plentiful and there are a couple of pooper scoopers. There are usually a few dozen tired tennis balls around, but bring more. There is plenty of room to really use that Chuck-It®. Be aware that Great Meadow adjacent has a walkway around the perimeter, and there are trails to a creek; but the entire area outside the fences is bound by the leash laws. Patrol staff has increased, so citations have been handed out. Challenge the law at your own risk, but PLEASE keep the dogs off of the manicured grass unless you are watching a soccer game. You WILL get cited and you WILL incur flack for the park if you walk your dogs on the lawns/playing fields. Location: 2255 Huntington Avenue, Aptos, California. Directions: From the south take Hwy 1 to Rio Del Mar Blvd exit and turn right at  the end of the ramp. Turn right again onto Soquel Drive but then continue straight onto Huntington Drive, which then veers left. Huntington is the left for again after a short way. The Polo Grounds County Park entrance will suddenly be on your left at the top of a small hill in the road. You'll know almost immediately you're in the right place. (Thank you CJ Handy)

Santa Cruz

• De La Veaga Park. Off-leash dog area. Location: Branciforte Drive. This is a small off-leash dog area on and below a sandy cliff. The fire road continues on in shady secondary redwood growth all the way up the golf course. The shady part of the fire road is not off-leash, but it is not patrolled. Directions: From downtown Santa Cruz, take Ocean Street to Market Street. Heading out of town Market street turns into Branciforte Drive. Park in the gravel turnout on the right 1/4 mile after Grunewald Street. Climb the fire road a short way to the off-leash area. (Thank you Susanne Altermann)

The park shares parking with the adjacent skate park. This park frequently runs out of bags, and has not yet caught onto the use of the small, biodegradable type. The land used to be an municipal airport and the tarmac partially remains underneath the layers of wood chips. Location: 361 Kings Village Rd, Scotts Valley, CA. Directions: From Highway 17 take the Mount Hermon Road exit. Turn right onto Kings Village Road. At the T intersection with Bluebonnet Lane, turn left to continue on Kings Village Road. • Latour Demonstration State Forest. An over 9,000 acres of forest with 67 miles of logging roads. Highway 299, West of Burney, go South on Tamarack Rd for 10 miles, where it forks, and keep going straight, which is Jack's Backbone Road (Road 16) for 6 miles. Lakehead

• Shasta Lake. Almost 30 thousand acres. From Interstate 5, take Mountain Gate/Wonderland Boulevard Exit and go South for around 4 miles. Follow the signs. 916-275-1587.

Lassen National Forest

Suisun City

• Grizzly Island Wildlife Area. Open only between mid-January to March 1st, and July- early August. Interstate 80 to Highway 12, towards Rio Vista, turn on Grizzly Island Road, to Sunset Shopping Center for 10 miles. 707-425-3828.

• Lagoon Valley Park. A couple of acres of fenced in dog park for dogs to roam off leash. Open dawn to dusk. Has poo pickup bags and garbage cans provided. Doggie drinking fountain. Double gate. Chairs and tables. Location: Off of I-80, just west of Vacaville in Solano County, CA. Take the Pena Adobe exit and follow directions to Lagoon Valley Park. As you are driving in, you can't miss it. Vallejo

• GVRD Dog & BMX Skate Park. Greater Vallejo Recreation District Park. Walking trail behind park. Plenty of parking, bathroom facility. Large, grassy fenced area for off leash dog run. Location: 1805 Ascot Parkway. Directions: From Hwy 80 Take Redwood East exit to Ascot Parkway, Turn right. 1 block on right across from new high school. (Thank you Shelee Loughmille)
• Vallejo Dog Park. Great, large, fenced, wonderful two areas, one for small dogs, one for larger dogs, and water available, plastic bags and trash cans for poop, and lots of very nice people. lovely new park and a wonderful place to socialize your dog with other dogs. it's on ascot street the name isn't Vallejo dog park it's something else but i can't recall right now, anyway, ascot street near redwood parkway. • Wardlaw Dog Park. Off Leash Dog Park. There is a great place to have dogs run off leash. It is a pretty recent dog park, about 1-2 years old. There are both small and large dog sides. From Hwy 80 East Bound take the Redwood Street EAST exit. Location: Redwood and Ascot Parkway. Directions: Follow Redwood to Ascot Parkway and turn right. Stay in the right lane. Glen Ellen

• Elizabeth Anne Peronne Dog Park. One acre, fenced, grass, water. Well maintained, volunteers on duty, clean, with water, grass and poop clean-up tools. Tables for insecure dogs. $3.00 parking fee for Park parking. Hiking trail, with leashed dogs OK. Located at: Sonoma County Regional Park. Highway 12, north of Sonoma and South of Glen Ellen on Highway 12. Directions: Highway 12, north of Sonoma or Highway 12 South from Santa Rosa. Rohnhert Park

• Rohnert Park Animal Shelter. Small dog park adjacent to the shelter. The hours of this park are dawn-9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.-dusk. The park features a small exercise area, water, and a shade structure. Location: 301 J. Rogers Lane. Directions: Off US 101 take Rohnert Park Expressway (east). Turn right onto Redwood Drive. Petaluma

• Oak Hill Park. Small, behind a hill, grassy, friendly. Go up park avenue, and you will see a playground, with trees behind it. go behind the trees and down the hill. Park Ave. (Thank you Vanessa Link) 
• Prince Park, Petaluma, CA. Large public playing field, partially fenced, next to a golf course. Official hours are Mon-Fri, 6am - 3pm (Sept-May), Mon-Fri 6am - 8am (Jun-Aug), Sat-Sun 6am - 8am and Mon-Sun 8pm - 10pm. However, this is a large park and most of the sports events take place in the southern half. We have never been kicked out. People even offer dog training classes here. There are also drinking fountains. My old dogs like to romp on the turf grass. Location: East Washington St, east of Sonoma Mt. Parkway, just past the Petaluma airport (on your right). Directions: From HWY 101 north take the E. Washington--Central Petaluma exit. Turn right onto E. Washington drive approx. 1 mile. Take the first left turn after the airport. There will be baseball diamonds and recreational buildings at the south end of the park. Follow the drive to the north end, where there is plenty of parking and shade. (Thank you Marian Parker)

• Plaza Bark Park. Fenced-in dog park. The 1.6 acre Bark Park is located at the north end of Plaza Park in Visalia. It is surrounded by a 6' fence and includes a double-gated entry, shade, benches, pooper-scooper stations and water for two- and four-legged users. There are separate areas for small and large dogs. • Collins Lake. Camping, 1,000 acre lake, and lots of oak trees. Highway 20 East 12 miles from Marysville and turn North on Marysville Road and continue for 10 miles. 916-692-1600.
